An ESF project working on innovative ways of helping older people get back to work and remain in jobs was presented at the Ageing Population 2010 Conference in London on 25 October.

With the care workforce disproportionately made up of over 50s, the development of new skills, qualifications and more flexible working methods are at the heart of the Age Concern Milton Keynes led Flexible Lives for Older Workers (FLOW) project.

At the conference, Peter Clarke, FLOW Project manager explained how the project is mainstreaming good practice in helping older workers engage in the care and retail sectors as well as promoting flexible ways of working for companies employing older workers.
