Personnel Evaluation Consultants (PEC) Way2Work programme is a European Social Fund and Jobcentre Plus funded provision. The project is scheduled to run from October 2005 to March 2007 and aims to help 1,000 people into employment.
People who can access Way2Work include those receiving Jobseeker's Allowance (unemployed for six months), lone parents, people in receipt of incapacity benefit and individuals who are economically inactive.
Participants will receive practical advice and support by offering confidence-building techniques and showing people how to overcome barriers that previously prevented them from moving forward into work.

23-year-old Lizzie Askham, was referred onto the project after she sought advice from her personal advisor at the Cavendish Jobcentre Plus office in Sheffield.
Lizzie had been out of work for three years and said: "PEC Way2Work has made a real difference to my life. After being unemployed for so long, I really needed some help to find the right job. I found the staff so supportive - I appreciate the advice I received and everything they did for me."
After receiving the right kind of support, she began work at Somerfield supermarket within a month of joining the programme, becoming the 100th job placing in the process.
District Manager for Jobcentre Plus, Denise Horsfall, presented Lizzie with the commemorative pen, saying: "The PEC Way2Work project is clearly helping to place people into work. This helps to improve the quality of their life as well as the lives of their families. The fact that 100 people have already been given the chance to become financially independent through work shows the value of the partnership between Jobcentre Plus and PEC."
