Successful project promoters must acknowledge financial help from ESF for their projects.
Projects are responsible for making sure that enough publicity is given to all ESF-supported activity so that beneficiaries and the general public get to know about ESF and what it does.
PUBLICITY REQUIREMENTS
The European Commission is keen that beneficiaries and the general public should be informed about the support available from ESF and the other structural funds.
A standard publicity requirement is written into the ESF offer letter (page 4, Annex 3). It is a condition of receiving and using the funding that you publicise ESF support, just as it is a condition that you must achieve certain outputs, submit regular claims and so on. If this requirement is not met, funding could be withdrawn.
EC Regulation No. 1159/2000 outlines the information and publicity measures that must be carried out by member states for the period 2000-2006. This guidance is based on this regulation and its requirements.
