ESF Projects Help Homeless Move into Employment

Inside Knowledge participants receiving certificates from Dr John Bird, MBE - founder of the Big Issue.

Two ESF projects run by the City Lit Adult Education college in London have recently attracted national attention.

The ESF funded MOVE programme recently featured in the Times Education Supplement (TES). The project helps homeless people develop the skills and confidence they need to move into employment. The article features the stories of Alan and Arnold - two former homeless people who have improved their prospects.

In addition, participants on the earlier City Lit - Inside Knowledge project recently won a national Adult Learners' Week 'Group' Award for working effectively together, supporting each other and giving back to the community.
